Home on the Farm: If Chickens Could Talk
by Lorene McCormick Burkhart
The book features a series of vignettes about her family’s farm life in Southern Indiana during the 1930s and 40s. The tales told in each of the 10 chapters range from nostalgic to fanciful. Some are funny, some are poignant, but all will appeal to anyone who has ever lived on a farm…
or anyone who has wanted to live on a farm.
